As my work in Archeology of Memory consisted of paintings that looked as if they were removed from some faraway, dreamlike environment, I wanted to create the nature that would produce such items. On entry, the viewer was given these words:

Welcome To the Classified Wilds! It's always a delight when memories of the things we've seen and all that’s in between blooms into existence. Classified Wilds questions the connections that we make with each other through our shared narratives, media experiences, and the objects we leave behind. By delving into these interconnections, this little world aims to highlight the importance of how we communicate and how it ultimately shapes our lives and our identities and our environment. Feel free to speak to the gatherer for them to harvest your own piece of the Classifieds.

Check out a short recording of the space that includes some of the sounds that accompanied the installation.
